Hi, I'm Amit Barua

A software engineer with a Bachelor's in Computer Science from California Polytechnic University Pomona and an Associate's in Web Development from Long Beach City College. My portfolio spans a range of projects, including encryption algorithms, quantum computing applications, blockchain technology, game development, and process automation. I'm adept in C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, AWS, Azure, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines. My professional journey includes roles in QA, web development, and engineering. QA Engineer

In my role as a QA Engineer, I was responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products. My duties included designing and implementing comprehensive test plans, identifying bugs, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues. I utilized a variety of testing methodologies, both manual and automated, to maintain high standards of software performance and user experience.



Web Development Intern

As a Web Development Intern, I contributed to the development of web applications, focusing on both front-end and back-end development. I gained hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and server-side technologies. This role allowed me to enhance my coding skills, understand client-server architecture, and participate in the full lifecycle of software development from concept to deployment.



Engineering Intern

During my tenure as an Engineering Intern, I worked on various engineering projects that required analytical and problem-solving skills. My responsibilities included assisting in the design and implementation of software solutions, conducting research to support development initiatives, and collaborating with senior engineers. Google Developers Club at CPP (Founding Member)

As a founding member of the Google Developers Club at California Polytechnic University Pomona, I played a key role in establishing the club, organizing events, and leading workshops. This experience honed my leadership skills, expanded my network in the tech community, and provided me with opportunities to mentor and guide fellow students in their technology pursuits.



PROJECTS

Secret Key Encryption:

Focused on encryption algorithms like AES, RSA, and DES, with proficiency in encryption modes and padding techniques. Utilized OpenSSL and Crypto++ for custom encryption scripts.



Flight Purchase Automation on Blaze.com:

Integrated AWS, Docker, and Azure to automate flight purchases, developing a serverless architecture and a robust CI/CD pipeline.



Game Development:

Worked on a Unity-based game project, focusing on Enemy AI development and enhancing gaming experience with intelligent characters.
